Installation Ahead

The Catholic Courier has posted a story on the clustering of Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Anne.

The cluster plans to mark its formation with a Mass celebrated by Bishop Matthew H. Clark at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 14 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 150 Varinna Drive. Following the Mass, all will be invited to a noon concert at St. Anne, 1600 Mt. Hope Ave., followed by a reception that will run until 2 p.m.

This is quite different in tone - and spin - from Sr. Joan Sobala's announcement in Our Lady of Lourdes' bulletin.

On Sunday September 14, Bishop Clark will come to our cluster to pray with us as we move into this still-new way of being and to install me officially as the pastoral leader of the cluster. (emphasis added)

One of my wildest hopes is that a whole bunch of parishioners show up for the event wearing white bed sheets - er, make that "baptismal garments" - so as to show solidarity with Sr. Joan.

I hope the good people of St Anne's will not allow this woman to drive them out.(It sound as if she's already gotten rid of your music director.)
They should re-route their financial support of the Church to solid orders or traditionalist communities, but NOT cede to field to the devil's minions.
Show up for _everything_, women wear mantillas, men bring their own incense, maybe even consecration bells, kneel whenever possible, stay after Mass and say the St Michael prayer together aloud, gather early and sing Latin hymns before Mass, or chant the Rosary
(Oh, and go out for bathroom breaks during her sermons.)

Save the Liturgy, Save the World!

I bet she's one of those habitless nuns...

Pray and pray constanly...

She is, indeed, a habitless nun.

Also, when I talk with people of St. Anne, I refer to it, as they do, as the Coronation Mass.

Will she arrange for smoke to be billowing from the chimney at St. Anne's, during HER installation mass?
Will the "adoring" (*cough-cough*) crowds be chanting..."Mama!!! Mama!!!"

YOU betcha!
